A Remarkable Exhibition Bringing Together the Whole of Foujita’s World

The year 2026 marks the 140th anniversary of the birth of Tsuguharu Foujita. To commemorate this milestone, our museum―devoted exclusively to the collection and display of Foujita’s work―will present a comprehensive exhibition offering an in-depth introduction to his artistic world.
Since the museum opened in 2022, the collection has grown steadily. Now, as the museum marks its third anniversary, the collection has expanded to include more than 330 works and archival materials, forming a rich and substantial body of holdings.
This anniversary exhibition traces the arc of Foujita’s career from his earliest works through to his later years. Guided by the museum’s founding mission―to follow the trajectory of Foujita’s artistic development― the exhibition brings together a diverse collection, including works newly presented at the museum. Visitors are invited to explore Foujita’s world in greater depth and richness than ever before.
