Mai Suzuki, Violin
Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, she received diplomas from Lausanne, Salzburg, and Munich, and a German state performer qualification. While still a student, she performed in recitals and concerts both in Japan and abroad, and toured Europe, Central and East Asia, and South America as a soloist, receiving invitations to recitals and orchestral performances around the world. In Japan, she appeared in a concert in front of the Emperor at the Tokagakudo Hall of the Imperial Palace, sponsored by the Imperial Household Agency, was selected as a Chanel Pygmalion Days Artist, and has performed in major halls such as Suntory Hall and Oji Hall.
He has performed with the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Japan Century Symphony Orchestra, Kuopio Symphony Orchestra of Finland, Deutsche Hof Symphony Orchestra, Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra of the Czech Republic, Orchestre de Lausanne (Switzerland), and Croatian Radio Symphony Orchestra. In 2007, he was the youngest semi-finalist at the Tchaikovsky International Competition (Russia), and a finalist at the Henri Marteau International Competition (Germany) in 2011. In 2013, he won first prize and the Orchestra Prize at the Vaclav Huml International Violin Competition (Croatia), first prize at the Orpheus Chamber Music Competition (Switzerland), and second prize at the Spivakov International Violin Competition (Russia) in 2016. His recordings of Beethoven's Violin Concerto - Third Movement and Massenet's Meditation from Thais with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra were included on the Nikkei Music Selection CD "Morning in Classics."
She released her debut CD "Mai Favorite" and in March 2025 released "Tsubasa" as a duo with Akimi Fukuhara. She was a recipient of the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Overseas Artist Dispatch Program in 2012-13, a ROHM Music Foundation scholarship recipient in 2015-16, and a Menuhin Live Music Now (Germany) scholarship recipient in 2017-19.
He is a registered artist for the 2025-26 Regional Creation Public Hall Music Revitalization Support Project (Foundation). His instrument is a 1682 Nicolo Amati "Grand Amati" on loan through atsumari Co., Ltd., one of the three great renowned instruments, including a Stradivarius.
Yuna Kobayashi, Piano
Born in Yamanashi Prefecture. Graduated from the Department of Performance, Faculty of Music, Toho Gakuen School of Music, majoring in piano. Performed at the university's graduation concert. Graduated from the Pescara Conservatory in Italy. Trained under Bruno Mezzena, a disciple of Michelangeli. Winning numerous competition awards from a young age, including competing in the national finals of the PTNA Competition in B-G grades and winning gold and silver medals. 2013 CHANEL Pygmalion Days Artist. First place at the Camillotoni International Music Competition and top prize at the Luciano Luciani International Music Competition. Has given recitals throughout Italy, garnering acclaim. Previously, she has studied under Akemi Nagasawa, Etsuko Tasaki, Aki Kuroda, Bruno Mezzena, and Orazio Sciortino. Her first album, "Dolce Felice," was released in 2021. Currently, she is expanding her activities as a teacher, serving as a judge and advisor at competitions across the country. Yamanashi City Tourism Ambassador.
