Mio Saito, Violin

He currently resides in Germany. He attended the Tokyo University of the Arts High School of Music and the Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School, and is a member of the Suntory Chamber Music Academy's fourth- term Fellowship. From 2017 to 2019 , he studied under Daniel Gaede as a New Artist Overseas Trainee under the Agency for Cultural Affairs' Overseas Training Program. He also served as his assistant during his studies. In 2018 , he passed the exam for the Bavarian State Opera Orchestra Academy and continued his training as a member of the orchestra under Principal Conductor Kirill Petrenko. He graduated unanimously with the highest marks from the Graduate School of the Nuremberg University of Music in 2020 and the State Performer Qualification Course at the same university in 2023. He is a member of the Japan Federation of Musicians. He will serve as an assistant concertmaster contracted with the Munich Radio Orchestra from September 2022 , and is currently a contracted member of the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra. He has won numerous awards in competitions both in Japan and abroad, including the Brahms Sonata Special Prize at the 26th Brahms International Music Competition and first place at the 5th Peter Pirazzi Foundation German Music University Competition. He is also active as a soloist, performing with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. He has studied under Asako Yoshikawa, Takako Yamazaki, Kazuki Sawa, Natori Tamai, and Daniel Gaede. He plays a 1779 Storioni on loan from Hampstead Properties Co., Ltd.

 

Akiko Omuro, Piano

Born in Tokyo (currently registered in Saku City, Nagano Prefecture). Graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts High School of Music, Faculty of Music, and Tokyo University of the Arts. While a student, he performed with the Tokyo University of the Arts Philharmonic Orchestra in a "Morning Concert." After completing his master's program at Tokyo University of the Arts, he moved to Germany. After graduating with honors from the Freiburg University of Music, he received a scholarship from the Baden-Württemberg State Bank to further his studies at the Stuttgart University of Music and Representational Arts Graduate School. He completed the graduate soloist course at the top of his class and obtained his national performer qualification with the highest honors. At the same university, he served as an assistant piano student and assistant accompanist for the wind instruments department, and won prizes in competitions across Europe, including the Marsala International Piano Competition (Italy). He continued his energetic performance career.

Since returning to Japan, she has taught the next generation of musicians at Japan Women's University and Ueno Gakuen University, and has also become a performance researcher at the Tokyo University of the Arts' conducting department, where she has served as a répétiteur and choral accompanist under many international conductors, including Mariss Jansons, Chung Myung-Whun, and Kenichiro Kobayashi. In recent years, while regularly giving solo recitals, she has also appeared in numerous concerts, including song accompaniment and chamber music, which have been frequently broadcast on NHK Classic Club and other programs. She has previously studied under Etsuko Okazaki, Katsumi Ueda, Nana Hamaguchi, V. Belzon, and W. Broser.

*The last admission to the museum is at 4:30 PM . We recommend viewing the recital before it begins.

・Annual pass holders can participate in the recital only for 5,000 yen (tax included).
・When using the service, please present your Annual Passport and identification (driver's license, health insurance card, etc.) at the reception on the day and make payment.

・Reservations can be made by phone ( 0267-42-1230 *excluding closed days) or email ( info@musee-ando.com ), and then purchased at the ticket counter on the day (same-day tickets).

・The event will be held in the museum salon. In order to protect the artworks, please refrain from bringing in bouquets of flowers or other plants.
・If you have a fever or cold symptoms, please refrain from attending.
- Please refrain from any behavior that may disrupt the performance or make noise that may cause inconvenience to other customers.
・There is no parking lot at Karuizawa Ando Museum of Art.
If you are coming by car, please use the nearby paid parking lots, such as the town-run parking lot on the south side of the main building.
However, please note that nearby paid parking lots may be full, so we recommend using public transportation.
