Karuizawa Ando Art Museum 3rd Anniversary Free Event Mizuho Mori & Ayano Shiro Violin & Piano Duo Concert

Karuizawa Ando Museum of Art is celebrating its third anniversary. To commemorate the occasion, we will be holding a free concert featuring violinist Mizuho Mori and pianist Ayano Jo.
This special experience allows you to enjoy the rich sounds of the artists up close in an intimate and comfortable space that is a little different from a concert hall. Come experience the luxurious resonation of art and music in autumn in Karuizawa.
The concert is open to all museum visitors, and we look forward to seeing you there.

Mizuho Mori, Violin

He began playing the classical violin at the age of three.
In 2008, she appeared as a violinist on the special stage at mu-mo at the Tokyo performance of a-nation, which led her to switch from classical to pop music.
He also began arranging strings within songs, and has provided string arrangements for songs by artists such as EXILE ATSUSHI, BABYMETAL, and Golden Bomber, and has also been in charge of recording as MIZ strings.
They are also well-known for their stage performances, having appeared in "BABYMETAL DEATH MATCH TOUR 2013 -May Revolution-" @Zepp Diver City, "PERSONA MUSIC FES 2013 ~in Nippon Budokan~", "PERSONA SUPER LIVE 2015 ~in Nippon Budokan -NIGHT OF THE PHANTOM-", "PERSONA SUPER LIVE P-SOUND BOMB!!!! 2017 ~Witness the Minato Crime!~" @Yokohama Arena, Ryuichi Kawamura Presents "SOUNDIA Vol.1" @Shinjuku ReNY, EXILE LIVE TOUR 2015 "AMAZING WORLD" 5 major dome tour all 20 shows, Golden Bomber's "Music Station Ultra FES 2018", 20th Anniversary Yaida Hitomi Live Tour "Keep Going", Another Eden Concert "a refrain of times", GACKT LAST SONGS 2021 feat. He has appeared in K and other venues as a soloist and with MIZ Strings.
He also participated in the motion capture of the violinist and pianist in "KINGSGLAIVE FINAL FANTASY XV," which was released nationwide in 2016.
In April 2014, he was selected as an outstanding performer at the Diners Club Social Jazz Session 2014 and performed at Blue Note Tokyo, alongside Grammy Award-winning artists Lee Litenour and Crystal Kay.
The instrument used will be the Joseph Gagliano Napoli c. 1770-75, on loan from Hampstead Properties Co., Ltd., from February 2020.


Ayano Jo, Piano

Graduated from the Music Department of Hyogo Prefectural Nishinomiya High School and the Instrumental Music Department of the Faculty of Music at Tokyo University of the Arts. Passed the 20th JPTA Piano Audition and performed at the Prize Winners Concert. Won first place in the general category of the 7th Chopin International Piano Competition in Asia. Won a prize at the 5th Kazuko Yasukawa Memorial Piano Competition.
He was a Forum Artist for the 2007 Public Hall Revitalization Project. As a soloist, he has performed with the Tokyo University of the Arts Philharmonic Orchestra, Japan Century Symphony Orchestra, Century Youth Orchestra, Kobe University Symphony Orchestra, and others. He is also a member of the tango jazz unit "Trymulty" and the bass trombone trio "Trio Sync."
He is active in a wide range of genres, including accompanying musicians both in Japan and overseas, supporting stage actors at their live shows, and appearing on the EXILE TOUR 2015 AMAZING WORLD.
Part-time lecturer (performance researcher) at the Faculty of Music, Tokyo University of the Arts.

  • The recital will be held in the museum salon. In order to protect the artworks, please refrain from bringing in bouquets of flowers or other plants.

  • Please refrain from any behavior that may disrupt the performance or make noise that may cause inconvenience to other customers.
  • There is no parking lot at Karuizawa Ando Museum of Art. If you are coming by car, please use a nearby paid parking lot, such as the "municipal parking lot" on the south side of the main building. However, as nearby paid parking lots may be full, we recommend using public transportation.
