Exhibition Overview
About "The Joy of Eros": This is a collection of poems by German poet Offenbach, compiled on the theme of "love." It is said that in the early 1920s, Fujita studied ukiyo-e and shunga in order to establish his original style, making use of "milky grounds" and thin lines, and this work was born out of this same research. Please take a look at the 10 pochoir illustrations based on Fujita's watercolors, as well as the adorable cutouts of angels that adorn the pages.
