Construction of the Chapel of Our Lady of Peace in Reims: Fujita's dream supported by prestigious Champagne
360° view of the Chapel of Our Lady of Peace in Reims

After becoming a Christian, Fujita's goal was to build a chapel, and he realized this goal with the help of René Laloux. Laloux began searching for land with Fujita, purchased land near the company's premises, and also supported the construction costs. Frescoes covering the walls depict biblical stories related to the Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ in warm colors, creating a space where prayer and art come together.
In this exhibition, a portion of the frescoes painted inside the Chapel of Our Lady of Peace (Chapelle Foujita) in Reims is reproduced in Exhibition Room 4, allowing visitors to experience the world of art and faith that Foujita reached in his later years.
In addition, original museum goods unique to this exhibition, such as tote bags with a Chapelle-Fujita motif, will be available for purchase in stores and on the museum's e-commerce website. Please enjoy these as souvenirs of your visit or as gifts.
